I’ve had several offspring by Metallic Cattack and my favorite thing about them are their minds. They like people and are very trainable.
This is a very strong cow-horse/rope-horse pedigree, and Hooligan has a particularly interesting combination of Metallic Cat genetics on top and Major Red Buck/Mr Joes Song genetics on the bottom.
His sire, Metallic Cattack, is a 2015 red roan son of Metallic Cat × Quiolena (CD Olena). Metallic Cattack has more than $30,000 in earnings, $318,366 in offspring earnings, and was an APHA World Champion in tie-down roping, in addition to earning money in cutting.
Hooligan has a strong foundation Quarter Horse performance pedigree underneath the modern cutting genetics. I particularly like that the bottom side isn’t simply another concentration of the same cutting bloodlines—it can potentially complement the Metallic Cattack influence with a different type of cow-horse and performance foundation.
